All pros are handpicked based off the experience and talent illustrated in their portfolios. They also must pass our in-person character assessment test and online background check. We require all of our pros to carry insurance. All dronographers are properly trained on FAA guidelines and safety protocols.
Once a session is confirmed, you will receive a push notification via the app. We understand that plans can change, so if you need to cancel your upcoming session, you can do so within 10 minutes of a pro accepting your session with no penalty. We classify an on-demand session being created 24 hours or less from when the session is scheduled. If a session is not on-demand, you will be charged $50 if you cancel 24 hours or less from when the session is scheduled. If a session is on-demand, you will be charged $50 if you cancel less than an hour before the session is booked. We put these cancellation policies in place to protect our photographers, as they lose income when cancellations occur, and need to receive compensation for time they have set aside.
Once your session has ended, you can expect to receive an email and push notification that your photos or video are ready for download within 24 hours. You will receive an email notifying you that your pictures or video is ready for download via clicking on the link provided in the email.
If a pro has not accepted your session you can cancel with no penalty and request a new one. If a pro accepts the session you can contact them directly via text message or phone call alerting them of the changes. If you need to change the time of the session by more than 30 minutes from its original start time, you must contact your pro directly and email Shootly at support@getshootly.com
We don’t offer the ability to choose photographers or dronographers but we do include a sample of picture dissolves in the app that best represents our trusted network of pros. We offer on-demand service and have no way to guarantee a certain photographer or dronographer will be available.
Payment is both safe and secure and is handled by our trusted provider Braintree. Your credit card is charged as soon as your photos or video are ready for download.

When a session is “Upcoming” it means that a pro has yet to accept your session or a pro has accepted your session and is waiting for your scheduled start date. If a pro has accepted your session, then you will see their picture and name. “Active” is when your pro has departed for and started the session. Once departed, you can geotrack your pro arrive at your requested destination. “Past” refers to a session completed by your pro which also helps to keep a record of the session details.
Yes, once a pro accepts your session you can contact them directly by using the contact button in the upcoming session details.
Yes, but only by booking two separate sessions. Currently, you cannot book both at the same time with one session.
We do not recommend this because we cannot guarantee you will get the same high quality results and positive experience you will receive when booking a pro through our app. We maintain strict rules and guidelines for our pros to follow and we cannot make sure they adhere to them when a session is booked outside of the app. Shootly is here to maintain a wonderful customer experience.
